V max off
In the 1980s, car manufacturers built larger and larger engines, which allowed increasingly higher speeds. Then came the turnaround: From now on, a maximum speed of around 250 km/h was to apply to passenger cars. This was implemented by voluntary commitment on the part of the manufacturers, for example Audi, BMW or Mercedes, to limit the maximum speed. Limitation by a chip is not required by law.
Speed limiters are devices that limit the maximum vehicle speed to the set value in a motor vehicle primarily by controlling the fuel supply to the engine.
From around 2001, all vehicles with a permissible total mass of more than 3.5 t must be equipped with a speed limiter, unless these vehicles are designed to not drive faster than 100 km/h or 90 km/h anyway be able.
If the V-Max is regulated exclusively on the engine control unit, ChipTuningPower removes it as part of the normal ChipTuning order.
