Adaptation DSG gear box / transmission
The DSG transmission, which is fitted in vehicles of VW Group since about 2004, combines the comfort of an automatic with the efficiency of a manual transmission.
The changes in the software of the transmission control can address the needs of the sporting and ambitious driver. The following parameters can be adapted for specific requirements:
- switching time reduction
- changing of switching at engine rotation speed
- engine rotation speed for following gear under full load change
- limitation of engine rotation speed as requested
- torque limit adaptation at motor electronics reprogramming
- launch control optimization
- shorter response times of the shift paddles
- higher setting of forced up shift in manual mode
- deactivation of the kick-down function
- start-up or clutch adjusted softer
- Oeco mode with special switching operations
If desired, the shift maps will be adjusted in D or S mode. We only recommend to adapt the S mode according to your wishes because the D-mode exhaust relevant.
The DSG gearbox from 2008 is complete different from those subsequent years. Starting from 2009 already the new control devices have been installed partially. This can be checked on measurement bloc 048. The current gear have the Software Index C06 to C15, the new generation has the index E18. With all new models it is also not foreclosed that the necessary development is completed.
In the context of performance enhancement, there are models that are no longer drivable without adaptation of the DSG. In these models, the adjustment is automatically included in the price of chip tuning modification.
DSG models require not necessarily an adaptation of the DSG software with the increase in performance. It depends very much on the needs of each client / owner. 99% are satisfied even without a corresponding step-up the torque limit. 1% complained to the increase in performance during sporty driving that the torque limit is too long immediately when up shifting and therefore it needs to be adjusted. These additional adjustments as well as the above enumerated improvements are available.

Exclusively for racing use, we also provide hardware to changed at the transmissions. Whether it is a change of the transmission ratio, fitting a differential lock or a reinforced clutch, please contact us. We can fulfil almost your requirements. For this adaptations we needed your vehicle for about 1-2 days. The price depends on the programming and testing effort.
The time required varies depending on the model, DSG-type, software version, requested setting and related testing effort and will be billed at cost.
